Chuck remembered.

Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (March 10, 1940 – 2026) was an American martial artist, actor, and cultural icon whose toughness and determination made him a legend both on and off the screen.

A decorated veteran of the United States Air Force, Norris discovered martial arts during his service and went on to become a world-renowned practitioner, earning black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo.
He founded his own discipline, Chun Kuk Do, and was the first Westerner in the history of the Korean martial arts to be awarded an 8th degree black belt. His career in film and television spanned five decades.

He became a household name through the Missing in Action franchise, Code of Silence, and most enduringly as Cordell Walker in the long-running series Walker, Texas Ranger. Known for his stoic presence, lightning-fast kicks, and unwavering moral compass, Norris embodied the American ideals of resilience, justice, and strength.

Beyond entertainment, he dedicated much of his life to philanthropy, co-founding the Kickstart Kids program to bring martial arts and discipline to at-risk youth across Texas - his most lasting legacy off screen.

He was a husband, father, and an inspiration to millions around the world.
